Ad for the Nigerian Army....

So, i hear this is a campaign for the Nigerian army. God knows, when i think army, i think guns but it looks like they want to change our perception! With Monalisa and co in it, they may succeed.

We will just have to wait and see what this is all about.....

COCIN hqtrs attacked by a suicide car bomber in Jos city.

Three people were killed and several injured today when a suicide bomber denotated his bomb at the first service of the Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN) service in Jos, Nigeria.

Jos was always in the news due to the various ethnic clashes in the past but has been calm lately. This new incidence has brought fear to the residence of the already restive state. Boko Harem is yet to claim responsility for the attack.

Davido, the Dami Duro star is one of the new music artist in Naija and he just got his first 'celebrity pill' from one of his fans/groupie, Sonia Jumbo. From all indications, their relationship or lack of it started on twitter (@sonia_la_bomb and @iam_davido).

Davido whose real names are David Adeleke was said to have gone to Ghana to perform at Miss ISA 2012 beauty pageant put together by the International Students Association, of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He met up with Sonia who is a Nigerian undergraduate in Ghana.

Sad: unidentified gunmen kill 5 in Kano State

Unidentified gunmen opened fire on a mosque today killing about 5 people on Friday. The gunmen were said to have arrived on a motocycle and started shooting sporadically into the mosque and air.

Police are suspecting that they are members of the Boko Harem sect. The situation is now under control and investigation has commence according to the PRO, Nigeria police in Kano.

Gombe State rocked by multiple explosions

Gombe state was rocked today by multiple explosions and gun fight around a police station opposite the Bubayero primary school. There are reports of several injuries for now...will update when more details are made known.

God help our country Nigeria, all these bombs will soon make this country that has being at war for years!!

Ewwww! An indonesian charged for adding menstral blood to her employer's food

Where do i start from.......?

An indonesian maid, Indra Ningsih was accused of putting menstral blood in her employer's food. She was charged with one count of “administering poison, destructive or noxious substances with intent to injure" according to media reports. She was caught by her employer while she was cooking vegetables in which the suspicious 'substance' was found.

What will you do if you catch someone putting menstral blood in your food??!

Men of the NURTW clashed yesterday on Lagos Island. The clash has been on for some time now and i hear it is related to disagreement over elections that are to be conducted. There must be a lot of money in NURTW for them to be fighting like this. 10million Naira fraud in United Bank for Africa

A staff of UBA Plc , Romeo Omenogor was sentenced to 10 years in jail for a N10m fraud. The judgment was delivered on Wednesday, Feburary 15, 2012 by Justice Joseph Oyewole who also ordered 38-year-old Omenogor to pay the bank the sum of N6.6m as restitution.

Omenogor who was in IT dept used his knowledge of systems and his position to transfer the money into his accomplice's account (Francis Ineh) without authorization at the Ugbowo Branch of the bank in Benin. Ineh went ahead to withdraw the money in FESTAC Town branch of the bank in Lagos.

According to the story from Warri, Delta State. A lady who was picked up by a man and taken to Excel hotel starting changing into a snake after the man did some incantations and ran away.
She crawled into street and was shouting and crying for help, that brought the huge crowd as shown in the picture on the top right.

I dont see anybody trying to go to her aid sha and i cant blame them....as for me, i will be gone like yesterday!

One of the greatest voices in history has finally been laid to rest. In a ceremony that lasted over 3hrs, millions of viewers tuned in including my humble self to watch the closest people pay tribute to WH.

Her family and friends all came out to pay tribute to her. Bobby Brown who finally got an invite to the event at the minute bailed immediately after he arrived. Reports have it that he was not happy that his request to speak at her funeral was declined and also he was unhappy over seating arrangements as he wanted to have his 9-member entourage allowed into the church.

The Governor of New Jersey also present, had the flags fly at half-mast in honour of WH, got a standing ovation.

Bishop T.D Jakes, Stevie Wonder, R. Kelly, Kevin Costner and others sang and gave expressions at the funeral...see full list below

Scam: Scammers open fake accounts for celebrities

Online scam is on the rise and nollywood actors are the target this time. Richard Mofe-Damijo today, spoke about fraudsters collecting money from his fans using his name. RMD has officially left facebook for now, so the accounts there are not his but just proxy accounts.

Fyi: RMD's account on twitter is '@rmofedamijo', while another account '@RichardmofeD' was set up by the scammers. Report the account as scam so twitter can take it down.

Yemi Blaq, Tonto Dike and others have fallen victims to these scammers too.

EFCC re-arraign Femi Fani-Kayode on money laundrying charge

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has re-arraigned Femi Fani-Kayode (former Minister of Aviation) on a 47-count charge of money laundering before a Federal High Court in Lagos. He is accused of laundering various sums of money totaling N230 million through some of his aides, his wife, Regina Fani-Kayode and daughter, Remilekun between August 2006 and March 2007.

Mr Fani Kayode's counsel was opposed to the re-arraignment of his client on the premise that the judges of the Appeal Court while admitting his client’s statement of account as evidence did not order for a fresh trial.

Femi Fani-Kayode has pleaded not guilty to all the counts and Justice Murtala-Nyako ordered that he should continue to enjoy bail on the same terms granted by the former court

Lil Wayne to get married soon!

Looks like Tuface was not the only one who proposed on Valentine's day and is getting married soon. According to mediatakeout.com, Lil Wayne proposed and is 'unofficially' married to his pregnant girlfriend, Dhea.

Wizzy who took to twitter saying 'She said yes' later clarified, "I meant 'she said yes' to being my valentine!!! Hahahahahahaha! Y'all krazy!"

However, an insider in YMCMB said a spring wedding is being planned.

Nigeria police to change uniform

The Inspector General of Police, M.D Abubakar has announced that plans are being made to change the uniform of the Nigeria police. This and other efforts are being made to rebrand and change the face of the organizaion. The IG went further to make the following statements;

"There is need for national rebirth in the Nigeria Police, the era of corruption is over. We will allow competence and merit to take place,” Abubakar declared.

At least one person killed in the twin bomb blast in Kaduna

Two bombs planted underneath the Abdulwahab Folawiyo bridge in Kaduna exploded today killing at least one person. There is no report of the islamic sect claiming responsibility but members of Boko Haram have staged similar attacks in Kaduna in the past.

The one victim reportedly killed was a member of the anti- bomb squad who was killed while trying to defuse the bomb. May his soul rest in peace.

The body of Whitney Houston has arrived in Newark, New Jersey in preparation for her burial that is scheduled for this Saturday. WH will be buried in New Hope Baptist church where she grew up singing in the choir and was discovered by Clive Davis.

Director shot at Kaduna State Govt House by security personnel

A Director with the Ministry of Information in Kaduna was shot yesterday as he tried to force his way into the premises of Kaduna state Govt house. The Director had requested to see the governor but was promptly told the governor was in Abuja but still attempted to force his way in by driving dangeriously towards the gate. The security operatives attached to the Govt house opened fire and he was hit in the stomach and leg.

He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

With all the tension about BH in the north, you can imagine why they opened fire on him! speedy recovery sir!
