Cholera outbreak in Sudan







South Sudan suffers new cholera outbreak. So far there have been reported cases of 18 deaths and 180 infected. South Sudan's minister of Health Reik Gai told reporters the outbreak began in crowded United Nations refugee camp in the capital Juba where thousands sought shelter from the civil war. Koi said the first case was reported on the 1st of June.

        Cholera is a bacterial infection that causes diarrhea and severe dehydration that can be fatal if not treated promptly. it can be transmitted through contaminated water or food.
